Frannie’s work is inspired by a range of disciplines, including geography, furniture design, architecture, landscape design and urban planning. A native Texan, her work is grounded by her knowledge of the region as well as her experiences living in large cities, including New York City and Seoul, South Korea. She is interested in the intersection of social and ecological systems in an urban context and how designers can promote mutually beneficial relationships between the two seemingly disparate systems. In all her projects, Frannie seeks to promote sustainable design and enhance the relationship between people and nature.
